Hot off the press! Great news for anyone who loves photography. earthTV.com, which broadcasts live video from more than 70 worldwide camera locations on six continents, have announced a new website competition featuring Vivitar digital cameras. This month-long competition offers entrants a chance to win beautiful new Vivitar underwater digital cameras.  Entrants register on earthTV and earn points by clicking on various worldwide camera shots. Every click gets you closer to a prize and the most devoted clicker-er who racks up the most points by October 16 will win. Fear not, those who don’t have the ongoing clicking motivation or suffer from RSI – apparently there’s also random winners to be picked out.

What is travel?

We all travel for different reasons… But I think Globetaggers sums it the essence of travel better than most…

Travel is not all about the best pizza in town, the big tourist attractions and the most sleek hotels. It’s about the people you meet along the way, the fights you have with your friends, the always returning food poisoning and the crazy things you do after leaving the night club at 5 am.

Now that’s what I call travelling.

I figured any website with an ethos for travel like that has got to be worth checking out. I had a little play on it myself and have to admit it’s pretty good. It’s a new wave in the social networking for travellers scene that just seems to keep on growing. If you’re travelling and looking for a way to stay in touch with your loved ones the internet does seem the most logical and inexpensive way to do it. Definately worth a try.
